Our School's Students Won the Third Winner in 2016 Deloitte Tax Elite Challenge (Greater China) Finals.

The 13th 2016 Deloitte Tax Elite Challenge (Greater China) Finals was held in Guangzhou on October 30th, Our School's representative team won the third winner. Deloitte Tax Elite Challenge is intensely competitive, held for 12 years, our School's representative team is the only team of six consecutive years into the top three in history, our School's representative team has won the runner-up for 2 times, third winner for 4 times in six years. Deloitte Tax Elite Challenge is hosted by Deloitte & Touche and is a key project of the Deloitte Tax Research Institute. The challenge's aim is to promote the development of tax courses and cultivate tax professionals. The number of teams participating in this year's challenge has exceeded the previous record, a total of 68 colleges and universities from Greater China attended the challenge, attracting Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Taiwan University and many top universities to participate in the challenge.

Our School began to prepare for team competition in June, and teacher Song Xiaoning of Accounting Department is the coach of this challenge, four competitors are undergraduate Zeng Yuhui, Chen Yuqi, Zhang Miao from Accounting Department and Yang Jia from Department of Financial Investment. During nearly five-month closed training, leaders of the School, Accounting Department and Council Office gave them great support and encouragement. Teacher Song Xiaoning also took a lot of time to coach. Four competitors read thousands of tax documents, 10 hours of training time a day, greatly improving the ability to apply the essence of tax law to business practice flexibly and well, and finally obtained the unanimous approval of judges with excellent performance in the Greater China Finals, won the third winner.
