Professor Li Xinchun of SYSBS Selected as A Leading Talent in Philosophy and Social Science in the 3rd Batch of National“Ten Thousand Talent Program”
Recently, the General Office of Organizing Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued and printed the list of personnel selected in the 3rd batch of national “Ten Thousand Talent Program”. Professor Li Xinchun of SYSBS was selected as a leading talent in Philosophy and Social Science in the 3rd batch of national “Ten Thousand Talent Program”. There is a total of 13 persons in Sun Yat-sen University selected, of which, there were 4 leading talents in science and technology innovation, 3 leading talents in philosophy and social science and 6 outstanding young talents.
It was reported that National High-level Personnel of Special Support Program (hereinafter referred to as “Ten Thousand Talent Program”) was a key support plan in parallel with the “Thousand Talents Program” introducing overseas high-level talents and facing domestic high-level talents. It plans to take about 10 years to select and support a batch of outstanding talents, leading talents and outstanding young talents in the field of natural science, engineering technology and philosophy and social science in a step-by-step and focused manner since 2012, forming a system for team construction of high-level innovative and entrepreneurial talents dovetailing with the “Thousand Talents Program”. It plans to support 7 kinds of talents in three levels: the first level is “outstanding talents”; the second level is “leading talents”, including leading talents in science and technology innovation, technology entrepreneurship, philosophy and social science, outstanding teachers and million projects; the third level is “outstanding young talents”.
The third batch of national “Ten Thousand Talent Program” has selected a total of 720 leading talents in science and technology innovation, 367 leading talents in technology entrepreneurship, 215 leading talents in philosophy and social science, 195 outstanding teachers and 189 outstanding young talents. Of which, the leading talents in science & technology innovation and technology entrepreneurship were selected from candidates of “innovative talent promotion plan”, and leading talents in philosophy and social science were selected from candidates of culture masters and “four of a group project” talent projects.
