Informational Event about Joint Degree Program with IU-KSBI

On October 31th, 2011, Professor Kenneth A. Carow, Associate Dean of Indiana University – Purdue University (IUPUI) Kelley School of Business Indianapolis (IU-KSBI), visited SYSBS. Prof. FU Zhengping, Associate Prof. ZHANG Shujun, Associate Deans of SYSBS, together with Associate Prof. Rose LU, Director of the Office of International Affairs received professor Carow. The staff had a detailed discussion concerning course credit, tuition, and selection process of the undergraduate joint degree program, which will be officially launched in 2012.

At 7:00 pm, professor Carow paid a visit to the East Campus, hosting the informational event about the joint degree program. SYSBS freshmen and sophomore students took hold of the opportunity of face-to-face communication with Prof. Carow, and actively put forward questions in order to obtain relevant information about the program.

Through this informative event, SYSBS students were given first-hand information about studying for an IUPUI degree in the U.S. Moreover, they were granted yet another opportunity to explore the world, which is guaranteed to enhance their international competitiveness.

 

About the Program

SYSBS officially launched the undergraduate dual degree program with IU-KSBI in 2011 with the following goals in mind: to meet the trend of internationalization in higher education, to promote internationalization of SYSBS talent training strategy, and to improve the training quality of undergraduate talents. Every year, SYSBS awards a few excellent students whom they feel are qualified for studying in the U.S., to go abroad. The students take upon themselves the tuition, transportation, accommodation and health insurance fees. The students will be sent to the U.S. for a two-year study after they complete their first two academic years at SYSU, They will receive credit from both SYSU and the university in America at which they studied; both schools recognize credits mutually. Students who reach the graduation and degree qualifications of both schools will graduate with two degree certificates from both universities, as well as a degree diploma from SYSU. SYSBS will send students to study at IU-KSBI for the first time in 2012 Fall semester.,

Early application is encouraged and may be submitted before completion of the final grade of secondary school.

Fall Semester Admission Priority Date: March 1

                  Competitive Scholarship Deadline: December 1

       Admission-based Scholarship Deadline: February 1
