??The 2017 Seminar on Management Case andQualitative Research Method of Chinese Enterprises was held in Sun Yat-senUniversity of Management in Guangzhou on July 18-21, 2017. The seminar wasco-sponsored by Business School of Renmin University of China and ManagementSchool of Sun Yat-sen University, organized by the team called “InternetManagement Innovation” from Management School which undertook the seminar. Onthe theme of annotated case and qualitative research method, Professor MaoJiye, dean of the Business School of Renmin University of China, and ProfessorWang Fan, dean of the Management School of Sun Yat-sen University addressed on theseminar respectively. The keynote speech was delivered by Professor Mao Jiyeand Professor Xie Kang. Xu Weiyuan, Distinguished Professor of School ofEconomics and Management at Tongji University, and Wang Ning, Professor ofSociology at Sun Yat-sen University, served as lecturers. And a number ofcase studies scholars from Nankai University,Dalian University of Technology, University of InternationalBusiness and Economics, South China University of Technology and JinanUniversity took part in the reviews and guidance as guests. This seminar drewmore than 350 teachers and doctoral students from famous university andresearch institutes at home and abroad.??

The main feature of this seminar is to provide asystematic training on the subject of annotated case and qualitative researchmethod. Xu Weiyuan, as the major lecturer, designed 8 subjects to explain theresearch method of annotated case on the basis of philosophy background,research process, research problem, literature discussion, data collection,data analysis andwriting. During the training process, the participants benefited from thewell-designed contents and patient explanation and had a warm interaction.Moreover, a group reporting was designed for students to show their preliminarydesign on annotated case according to the appointed content and teachingmaterials. Professor Xu gave her opinions and comments on the scene.

Wang Ning, Professor of Sociology at Sun Yat-sen University, was invited to explainthe sampling and logical extrapolation aimed at individual incidents in detail which triggering a heated discussion. Besides, there is a reporting session about 5 selected papers from the contribution. As guests, all case research scholars from Nankai University, Dalian University of Technology, Sun Yat-senUniversity, University of International Business and Economics, South China University of Technology and Jinan University commented on the papers and interacted with students on the scene.

This seminar designed an innovative interactionwith students by the “Interaction Classroom” APP on WeChat. While sharing the seminaragenda and relevant information, students can interact face to face, ask orsalute other questions on the Internet. The lecturer and guests communicated onthe scene in terms of hot issues.

For three days and a half, the seminar provided teachers and students with a systematic training opportunity and built a platform of learning and interaction.
