Leadership Training Camp for Youths from Business Schools of Universities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, Commences at SYSBS
On the morning of August 20, 2016, “Leadership Training Camp for Youths from Business Schools of Universities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao” commences solemnly at SYSBS. 34 young undergraduates from business schools of eight universities (Sun Yat-sen University, Ji’nan University, South China University of Technology, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, University of Macao, and Macao University of Science and Technology) gather together on south campus of SYSU, attending the “Leadership Training Camp” co-organized by SYSBS and Guangzhou Youth Federation (GYF). The leaders who attend the activity include Ms. Liu Lan, secretary-general of GYF, Mr. Qi Xiaoping, Party Secretary of SYSBS, and Mr. Huang Biaoliang, deputy secretary general of Guangzhou Overseas Friendship Association, etc.
On the opening ceremony, Ms. Liu Land and Mr. Qi Xiaoping make speeches successively. With Mr. Huang Biaoliang, they award the camp flags to student representatives from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, which officially pulls open the curtain of the activity. Soon, Prof. Liu Jingyan, deputy dean of SYSBS, and Mr. Zhao Haizhou, vice president of Kugou, share their research results and practical experiences on themes such as “Prospects of MBA Holders’ Roles in Economic Globalization” and “MBA Holders’ Responsibilities and Global View” with the young students.
On the afternoon of August 20, students come to Pilot Free Trade Zone in Nansha to learn more about the development planning of Nansha, the cutting-edge ideas for Mingzhu Bay’s development, and “Chuanghui Valley” - the incubation base for creation and entrepreneurship of youths from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. From the lobby to the Hall with the features of the Bay Area, the City Dream Hall, the Movie Hall with cyclorama, and the Business Invitation Hall, the Mingzhu Bay Exhibition Center fully displays the future plan for the creative life space at water’s edge and the CBD inner circle in the international coastal city. Students also come to the top of China Southern Power Grid Building in Nansha, overlooking the overall construction there. In the morning of August 21, during the topic discussion in “The Youth Talks”, students discuss about three topics: “Internet Finance”, “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” and “Transition of Traditional Enterprises towards Internet”. Three special guests (Mr. You Xiaobin, chairman and CEO of TopGene Technology, Mr. Li Taize, chairman of Zhongjing Financing Assurance, and Mr. Hu Binbin, executive director of Mingshi Education) lead students to communicate and discuss about the three hot issues from the perspective of different economic conditions and cultural settings of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. At last, the participants of all the three topics gather together and send representatives to give a summary report.
Topic Discussion in “The Youth Talks”
The Training Camp provides professional training for the leadership, communication, influence and commercial intuition of young students in business schools, particularly the prospects of their roles. Students become friends with and learn from each other during the process, passing down and carrying forward the core ideas of business schools: inclusiveness, openness, win-win cooperation.
