9th Face to Face with Management Gurus
The 9th “Face to Face with Management Gurus” Forum was held on the East Campus on March 26. Noted speakers at the Forum were Dr. Garry D. Bruton, professor of Entrepreneurship and Management at the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University, Dr. Yadong Luo, International Dean of SYSBS and the Emery M. Findley Distinguished Chair and Professor at University of Miami.
The focus of the Forum was how to develop a business growth strategy for China’s enterprises. Dr. Bruton firstly analyzed China’s present economic boom and high-speed growth pattern through specific figures and charts and also pointed out that it was actually a shallow economy. Compared with other Asian countries such as India, China needs more creative young minds to remodel the future and to develop market demand.
Later Dean Luo introduced his unique views on the development road of China’s enterprises and delivered the concept of 4Cs – Competence, Commitment, Collaboration, and Compassion – to elaborate the management philosophy combined with thoughts of ancient Chinese sages.
