On September 12, the SYSBS Orientation for Fall 2013 was held at the SYSBS MBA Building. Altogether, 116 students from 18 countries and Buddy Club partners participated in the orientation.

Prof. Xiaoyan Lu, Director of the Office of International Affairs (OIA), extended her warm welcome to all the international new comers. Ms. Justine Xu from the Office of Curriculum and Degree Affairs, and Ms. Lenore Xu from the MBA Administration Office, presented an in-depth introduction to the program requirements, and provided helpful suggestions for the new students. Later, students were given an orientation to important campus services and to the dynamic city life of Guangzhou.

Organized by the OIA, the orientation offered an opportunity for the new international students to take advanced standing exams, meet fellow students, and make course arrangements. In addition to helping students settle into campus life, the program gave an overview of Buddy Club activities for this semester, and introduced them to what they can expect from away from campus as they explore city life in Guangzhou. After the orientation, the students enjoyed a tour of the south campus to begin to know more about the university.

Having earned the prestigious certification of AACSB, EQUID, and AMBA accreditation, the Sun Yat-sen Business School is rapidly becoming established as a target business school for international students, with increasing recognition as a premier opportunity for business studies in China.
