The 2016 Autumn Welcome Party for International Students Had a Smooth Convening
Adhering to our mission that “To bend Chinese and Western management wisdom, to develop enterprising and innovative spirit, to perform responsibilities of serving the community, and to cultivate management elites in business circles”, Sun Yat-sen Business School has held the 2016 Autumn Welcome Party for International Students in southern campus’s MBA Building in the afternoon on August 28th, 2016. More than 70 international students who come from French, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium…totally over 10 countries and regions have attended the party with their study assistants.
Firstly, on behalf of Business School, Mou Xin, the teacher of Office of Undergraduate Students Academic Affairs and Office of Academic Degree, gave a warm welcome to the international students and introduced Sun Yat-sen University, Business School, southern campus of Sun Yat-sen and the related circumstance to them. Following Miss Mou, Li Xiaoling, the teacher of DBA Project Department, and Lai Longwei, the teacher of MBA Education Centre, specified the school’s disciplines and course selection for international students. Then, 3 senior double-degree international students from WFI in Germany shared their experience and advice of studying, traveling, sightseeing and cultural experience in China, and at last the representative of study assistants also advertised the studying activities in autumn semester in 2016.

The party ended successfully under the harmonious, relaxed and jolly atmosphere. After that, the international students showed their sincere gratitude to the teachers and study assistants for help, and all party attenders took a group photo. The international students are looking forward to the new semester.

It’s learned that the students exchange program and study assistants program is one of Business School’s characteristics. Through “bringing in and going out” policy, local students and international students could learn from each other and continuously improve themselves with their communication, and it not only broadens their horizons and heightens international academic level, but also improves their comprehensive quality. Business School will hold on to develop students exchange program and study assistants program adhering to the mission of bending Chinese and Western management wisdom, playing a better role to link domestic business learning and exchanges of practical experience with those from abroad.
