AACSB-AOL Improvement Meeting Successfully Held
The AOL improvement meetings (for 2013 academic year) were held on 4 and 9 December, including serials undergraduate and postgraduate coursework suites (MBA, MPAcc, MPM, and EMBA). Executive Dean Zhongfei Li, Associate Dean Fan Wang, Associate Dean Yu Xin and faculty representatives of SYSBS were presented.
Assurance of Learning (AoL) refers to the systematic process of collecting data about student learning outcomes, reviewing and using it to continuously develop and improve the School's degree programs. AoL ensures our graduates achieve the goals and outcomes we say they will achieve when we advertise our degree programs. It is a means of holding ourselves accountable to delivering what we say we will deliver to students and other stakeholders, as well as a way of supporting the continuous improvement of our degree programs.
During the meeting, teaching teams analyzed and disseminated the outcome assessment information, noting areas of success and those requiring improvement. To ensure the implementation of improvement measures, the AoL Improvement Confirmation Letter of SYSBS was signed. This step needs to be recorded in the AoL Documentation folder, which is the evidence for later use by AACSB and other accreditation institutions.
