MBA Students Bring Home the Excellent Prize of the 2015 China MBA Entrepreneurship Competition

MBA students from SYSU seized the Excellent Prize of the 2015 China MBA Entrepreneurship Competition held in Shanghai Jiaotong University.

This year, the competition was featured with the fields of makeup, home life, healthcare, Internet finance, market research and company human resources sectors. Candidates from various universities showcased the insightful thoughts in their brilliant programs.

Representative team from Shanghai Jiaotong University introduced the traditional market research method, basing on the application of big data; students from SYSU created a stun with the make-up products, which caught the attention of judges; team from Tianjin University impressed the audience with the solar energy guardian employing remote date collecting and analyzing. Moreover, a large number of programs focused on the application of O2O technique, such as the program from Xi’an Jiaotong University, which provided a solution concerning with performance and salary management system; team from Tsinghua University drew a blue picture of tailor-made healthcare service with the invention of the smart toothbrush that can connect to an Internet healthcare system.

The most eye-catching event, however, was the successful launching of eight programs. These programs, coordinated by students from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University, and Xiamen University, earned the venture capital or angel investment respectively.

The judging panel spoke favorably of the quality of programs and attached significant importance to the launching process of a product. Moreover, a large majority of investors were not only ready to learn about those programs but also put their willingness to follow-up investment on view. In this case, the representative team from SYSU, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiaotong University received the invitation of a group of investment companies.

China MBA Entrepreneurship Competition, established by Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2002, has been developed into a mature and comprehensive competition which is popular with MBA students in Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland area. With a decade of development, it has paved the road for students and provided assistance to students on the path of enterprise start-up.

The 2015 Competition opened on January and invited students from Peking University, Nanjing University, Tsinghua University, Sichuan University, Tianjin University, Wuhan University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xiamen University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Zhejiang University, Renming University of China, Sun Yat-sen University and Shanghai Jiaotong University.
