SYSBS International Students’ Guangzhou Culture Tour for Fall 2014
To enrich the experience of international students at SYSBS, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) organized an exciting cultural tour on September 20. Most of the new incoming exchange students took part in this activity.
During the tour, international students visited a number of typical historical sites in Guangzhou such as Lizhiwan Park, where they joined in with the daily activities of local people. After a lunch of traditional Cantonese food, they visited Nanyue King Mausoleum, which gave them a greater understanding of Guangzhou history. The group also toured sites of modern Guangzhou, including the New Economic and Business Center, Zhujiang New Town, and Ersha Island. The activity-filled day ended with a delicious dinner featuring the foods of Northeast Chinese, and an evening cruise on the Pearl River—a time to relax and enjoy the beautiful lights of Guangzhou along the river.
