The 24th “Rhythm for China” Art Show of Sun Yat-sen Business School was held in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center in the even??ing of March 18t??h. Vice Presid?ent Peng Zhigang of Sun Yat-sen Labor Union, Deputy Director Liu Jieyu of Student Affairs Office, Deputy Secretary Wu Dan of School of Communication and Design, Deputy Head Zhao Yibo of Security Office of Eastern Campus and Secretary Qi Xiaoping of Business School were present, and Teacher Wang Shuai of Student Affairs Office, Teacher Zheng Li of Youth League Committee, Teacher Han Xuemin of School of Sociology and Anthropology, Teacher Man Yi of Zhongshan Medical College, Teacher Guan Wenyan of School of Chemisry, Teacher Li Yan of School of Pharmacy and Teacher Yuan Jiazhen of Lingnan College were invited to serve as a judge in this show. A lot of faculty and staff of Business School and the teachers and students from other schools were attracted to watch the show.??????

Secretary Qi Xiaoping delivered an opening speech and wholeheartedly affirmed the importance of “Rhythm for China” in the eyes of people in Business School. He praised “Rhythm for China” from three aspects: He thought that “Rhythm for China” serves to demonstrate the good spiritual outlook of teachers and students in Business School, being a bridge to link students, teachers and alumni together and being an exchange platform to strengthen the linkage between “the First Classroom” and “the Second Classroom” in favor of students' health. As the “second classroom”, the show plays an important part in carrying out our objective of “talents training-to generate students with excellent morals and academic skills, with charisma and with official sensation”. I hope everyone will cherish this platform and fully demonstrate our positive spiritual outlook.?? ??
“Rhythm for China” is a mega traditional event for patriotism education of Business School. The show has been held for 24 years and now with more than 20 thousand teachers and students fully participate in the show and 15 thousand staffs’ selfless contribution, “Rhythm for China” is not only an art show but a thriving tree standing for spiritual homeland of Business School, serving as an annual grand party for students, teachers and alumni in Business School. “Rhythm for China” takes an important place in each Business School student’s heart, which demonstrates education in patriotism and socialist core value system by collective art performing. Besides, the way “All participate in the show and be happy together” has strengthened its mass base and turned on the youthful vigor.
This year’s “Rhythm for China” is themed by ”Lasting songs showing the appeal, and past journey glorifying the brilliance” to honor our red army and inherit the spirit of the Long March, demonstrating the advanced spirit of contemporary youth and the determination to work hard for great national revival. Since last November, all classes have been working together and have kept positive spirit and enthusiasm from rehearsal to contest.

The show started at 7 o’clock at night. With the melodious music, the dance “Step On” given by 2014 undergraduate students kicked off the show. They danced to the melody, sparkling their charms and vigor. Twenty-five thousand miles, a long way to save our country, the show “Marching” has composed a magnificent patriotic poem with a whoop of excitement. National blood were sprayed in battle fields, everlasting love were turned into heartbroken sorrow, the show “Song of War Time” was greatly sung out loud to show its legend and immortal spirit. The show “Majestic Appearance” presented us the majestic China 81 years ago. A single spark can start a prairie fire, the show “Bashan Spirit” demonstrated that the banner of revolution was carried up by contemporary ambitious youths. The show “Running Wild” conveyed a kind of pursuit-the red winding ribbon has engraved the immortal long march to our memory. Time flies, never idle away prime days of youth, the show “Long-Term Youth” dropped bombs with the dynamic performing.
The shows are wonderful, presenting an audio-visual banquet to the audiences. The thick patriotic sentiments, the sincere grateful heart, the everlasting will to fight and the strong collective cohesion that all contained in “Rhythm for China” spirit will forever motivate us to move forward and build the brilliant future for Business School!??????
