Serial Lecture at Leading Universities in China Hosted by Keizai Koho Center
On 28 November, under the theme of “The Position of China Business Unit in NISSAN’s Global Strategy”, the Keizai Koho Center Lecture Meetings at Leading Universities was held in SYSBS. The honored guests presented were: SHIGA TOSHIYUKI (Vice Chairmen of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc.), ITO KOICHI (Japanese Consul General in Guangzhou), Ryuichi Tanaka (Chairman of The Guangzhou Japanese CCI.), Atsushi Hama (Senior Managing Director of Keizai Koho Center), Mr. Jian Li (Vice-Chairman of Guangdong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries) and Prof. Shanmin Li (Vice-President of SYSU).

Following the opening speeches made by Vice-President Shanmin Li and Japanese Consul General ITO KOICHI, Mr. SHIGA TOSHIYUKI gave a keynote speech titled with “The Position of China Business Unit in NISSAN’s Global Strategy”. He not only shared the experience of his career in NISSAN but also presented his insight into what is the global strategy of NISSAN and how to position China as the role of business partner.
First and foremost, in order to illustrate a brief picture of auto industry for the audience, he introduced the conditions that confronted by auto industry, including the booming of emerging markets, diversification of environmental technology, miniaturization of automobile and the penetration of the internet. Then he made a summing up of NISSAN’s strategies, which are to take the initiative, to lead and to cooperate. Furthermore, concerning to these three strategies, he took a close look at NISSAN’s business units and training objectives of talents.

In the end of the meeting, Mr. SHIGA TOSHIYUKI presented his viewpoint in terms of the question put forward by the audience. Concluded by Mr. HAMA ATSUSHI, the meeting ended up with a warm and solemn atmosphere.
