SYSU CEO Forum and SYSBS EMBA Program Promotion Conference
On March 10, SYSU CEO Forum and SYSBS EMBA Program Promotion Conference were held at Westin Hotel Guangzhou. Dr. Chris Hassall, former Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G) vice president, and Prof. Fei Li of SYSBS were invited to be forum speakers. More than 100 participants, including senior management staff from government and enterprises, private entrepreneurs, and media reporters, attended the CEO Forum.
In a concurrent conference session, the EMBA Program of SYSBS was introduced to the forum attendees. The SYSBS EMBA Program, launched in 2002, was ranked 11th in the Financial Times EMBA ranking last year. The purpose of the program is to cultivate entrepreneurs with decision-making ability, leadership and who will spread Chinese culture, being themselves experts of the transnational operation concept and practice. The EMBA Program aims to cultivate business leaders with a global view and senior professional managers that can adapt to the international competition of the 21st century.
The SYSU CEO Forum was divided into two sessions. In the first session, Dr. Hassall delivered a speech with the theme of “Brand Construction at P&G.” Trough typical cases of Crest, Tide, and relevant famous brands, Dr. Hassall elaborated the concept and practice towards brand construction of P&G. Meanwhile, Prof. Zhuming Chen, director of SYSBS EMBA Education Center, demonstrated recent-year achievement of EMBA Program and its global reputation.

The second session featured Prof. Li, whose speech entitled “Subordinate Management” brought together the Chinese culture studies and the essentials of management science to illustrate the topic.
