4. Notice of 2018 Journal of Management Studies Professional Development Workshops

Journal of Management Studies is Financial Times 50 Journal, and the Class A journal of Sun Yat-sen University. The journal is covered by SSCI, the impact factor (IF) is 3.962, it has high influence in international management academic circle. Journal of Management Studies Professional Development Workshops will directly invite the chief editor of Journal of Management Studies to deliver a keynote speech, expound the purpose, the review process, and the standard for evaluating papers of the journal; and discuss the academic frontier issues with domestic scholars. The purpose of this workshop is to help the contributors, especially Chinese contributors, improve the quality of paper writing and finally reach the international publication level.
In addition, the workshop will also have round table discussion for the papers submitted by domestic scholars. The chief editor of Journal of Management Studies will comment on every paper and give specific amendments on site. Round table discussion can help domestic scholars to constantly perfect their papers and improve their quality.
Guest profile
The three internationally renowned professors are the chief editor or subeditor of Journal of Management Studies, and they will attend the event as guest speaker and paper review guest:
(1) Professor Wei Liqun, the professor of the Department of Management, College of Business Administration, Hong Kong Baptist University, and the subeditor of Journal of Management Studies. He is interested in: strategic human resource management, TMT (top management team), and cross-cultural management.
(2) Professor John E. Prescott, the professor of Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, America, and the subeditor of Journal of Management Studies. He is interested in: competition strategy, strategic alliance and international business.
(3) Professor Gerardo Patriotta, the professor of Warwick Business School, UK, and the subeditor of Journal of Management Studies. He is interested in: organization theory and human resource management.
Application
The deadline for the application for this workshop is March 18. The workshop is free for the teachers and students throughout the country, but participants should bear their own board and lodging expenses, and travel expenses.
