The Inaugural Meeting of Yunnan Alumni Association of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University Ends Successfully

On January 24, 2015, the Inaugural Meeting of Yunnan Alumni Association of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University was successfully held in Kunming City, Yunnan Province. Kong Xiaohui - deputy secretary general of Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, Tan Jingsong - secretary, Yu Hua - researcher, Dai Honghui - deputy secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Business School, Zeng Tao - director of the Career Development and Alumni Work Office, associate professor Zhu Hang of the Business Administration Department, faculty He Wenfeng of the Career Development and Alumni Work Office, Xie Xuejun - vice president, He Zhiyong - secretary general of Yunnan Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, and nearly 30 alumni of Business School in Yunnan attended the inaugural meeting.
The meeting host, alumnus Wang Yadan - Tourism Management major enrolled in 2004, reported to the participants about the preparation process of the Yunnan Alumni Association, and invited all the alumni to review the list of president, vice president and secretary general of the association. After the nomination was approved, the host announced that the Yunnan Alumni Association of Business School was officially established.
Alumnus Ma Yong, the newly elected president, first expressed his welcome and gratitude in his speech to the guests and alumni who came to the meeting. He affectionately recalled the study and life in Kangle Yuan during his green years, which moved everyone. He said that the alumni association will be a platform to bring the alumni together again, help the development of alumni's career, and strive to create the spiritual home for the alumni.
Kong Xiaohui - deputy secretary general of Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University made a speech on behalf of the university. She first congratulated on the establishment of the alumni association of Business School, and then introduced the organization structure and development status of the alumni association, as well as the sidelights on the 90th anniversary of the university in 2014 to the alumni. She said that the alumni association will continue to serve the alumni as a bridge between the university and alumni for communication and alumni to contribute to the university.
Then, the introduction video on the development of school and recent alumni work was played and made all the alumni and guests feel excited and pleased for the excellent achievements made by the school in recent years.
Tan Jingsong - secretary of the CPC Party Committee of the school, congratulated the Yunnan alumni in his speech on having their own spiritual home. He said that the Yunnan Alumni Association of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University would be the first provincial alumni association established by the school, so it has special significance. He thanked the alumni for their continuous attention and support to the school, and said that with the steady development of the school and the increasing reputation at home and abroad, the school hopes to receive great support of the alumni.
Xie Xuejun - vice president, and He Zhiyong - secretary general of Yunnan Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University also made speeches and congratulations on behalf of Yunnan Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University. And then, the alumni who participated in the activity introduced themselves one by one, and recalled the experiences of studying and living in Business School and their development in Yunnan. There were bursts of laughter at the meeting place from time to time.
Before the end of the inaugural meeting, the Yunnan Alumni Association presented souvenirs to the Alumni Association and Business School, and in return Business School presented a souvenir of establishment celebration to the Yunnan Alumni Association.
The Yunnan Alumni Association is the fifth local alumni association of our school established after Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing and Foshan.
