Our School Won the “Advanced Unit Award for 2015 Alumni Work And Fund Work of Sun Yat-sen University”

On the morning of January 22nd, the 2015 Alumni Work and Fund Work Annual Meeting of our university was held in the south campus. Li Ping - deputy secretary of the CPC Party Committee of our university, executive vice president of the Alumni Association, and vice president of Education Development Foundation, and more than 60 people attended the meeting including the responsible persons of alumni work of each school and department, affiliated hospital and secretary of alumni work. The meeting was presided over by Li Hanrong - director of Education Development and Alumni Affairs Office, secretary general of the Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, secretary general of Education Development Foundation of Sun Yat-sen University.
On behalf of the university, Li Ping - deputy secretary thanked all the units for their efforts in alumni work and fund work. The meeting commended the units and individuals with outstanding performance in 2015 alumni work and fund work. 10 units including Lingnan College were rated as Advanced Units for Alumni Work, 10 units including Business School were rated as Advanced Unit for Fund Work, 12 people including Ji Liangnian won Outstanding Contribution Award, 10 units including Zhangshan School of Medicine won the "Follow the Footprints of Sun Yat-sen Alumni" Excellent Organization Award. Li Ping - deputy secretary presented awards to the winning units and individuals. At the meeting, director Li Hanrong reported on 2015 alumni work and funk work. Kong Xiaohui and Huang Yuanhui - deputy directors of Education Development and Alumni Affairs Office made special reports respectively on the themes of Alumni Work and Talent Cultivation, and joint efforts of school and university to cultivate donation culture.
Our school has won this award for three consecutive years. This award is not only a full affirmation of the 2015 alumni work and fund work of our school, but also a high recognition of the alumni giving back to their Alma mater and great support for the development of our university and school. Our school will continue to respond the summons of Alumni Association and Education Development Foundation, constantly standardize the internal management, and focus on improving the precise and standardized level of alumni work and fund work; give fully play to the role of organization hub, improve the alumni organization, continue to build the brand, gather alumni strength, strengthen the construction of alumni culture; further promote large donations, actively cultivate the broad-raising culture, and the fundraising to reach a new high; continue to promote the information construction level of alumni work and fund work and the publicity ability of new media, further improve the international reputation and influence of the university, and promote alumni work and fund work to a new level.
