The Inaugural Meeting of Chaoshan Alumni Association of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University Ends Successfully

On June 6, 2015, the Inaugural Meeting of Chaoshan Alumni Association of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University was successfully held in Shantou City. Kong Xiaohui - deputy secretary general of the Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, Qi Xiaoping - secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Business School, Yu Hua - researcher, Xu Yong - associate dean, Dai Honghui - deputy secretary, Jin Xiangpeng - dean assistant, Zeng Tao - director of the Career Development and Alumni Work Office, Dong Lili - director of the Foreign Affairs Office, Wang Huaiyuan - director of the MBA Education Center, Cai Zongze - president of the Shantou Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, Zheng Weimin - president of the Chaozhou Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, Wei Wei - president of Jieyang Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, Xu Jijun - representative of Shanwei Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, Li Na - deputy secretary general of Shenzhen Alumni Association of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University, and more than 100 alumni of Business School in Chaoshan area attended the inaugural meeting.
Alumnus Chen Youhe from the Whampoa 26th EMBA - the host of the meeting, made a preparatory work report to everyone, and invited all alumni to review the list of president, vice president, secretary general and directors of the alumni association. After the nomination was approved, the host announced that the Chaoshan Alumni Association of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University was officially established.
Alumnus Ou Xiantao, the newly elected president, first expressed his welcome and gratitude in his speech to the guests and alumni who came to the meeting. He said that the alumni association will be a platform to bring the alumni together again, help the development of Chaoshan alumni's career, and strive to create the spiritual home for the alumni. Weng Yuan - executive president, added in his speech some benefits to be offered to the alumni and health services for the alumni.
Kong Xiaohui - deputy secretary general of Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, made a speech on behalf of the university. She first congratulated on the establishment of the Chaoshan Alumni Association, and hoped to establish a good interaction with the local alumni association of the university. Then, she introduced the development of the alumni association of the university to the alumni, and planned to set up the interest club. She said that alumni and Alma mater are not a community of interests, but a community of life. She hoped to build up the alumni work platform with joint efforts and maintain the reputation of Sun Yat-sen University.
Cai Zongze - president of Shantou Alumni Association of Sun Yat-sen University, made a speech of congratulation. He expressed his pride as a student of Sun Yat-sen University, and thanked the teachers of Sun Yat-sen University for their help in his study, work and politics. In the future, the development of alumni association should be well planned under the calling of the university, and we are a loving family.
Qi Xiaoping - secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Business School, congratulated on the establishment of the Chaoshan Alumni Association of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University. He said that the alumni association is a platform and home for disseminating knowledge and learning exchange, and Chaoshan culture is also an important part of Guangdong culture. The Chaoshan Alumni Association has brought together a lot of resources and a sense of belonging. This is the first large-scale formal event that he participated in after he came to the Business School. He thanked the alumni for their hard work and said that this is a good opportunity to learn from each other and get to know each other. Secretary Qi said that the school will provide assistance for the alumni through various channels, and the school's brilliant achievements are also inseparable from the efforts of alumni!
Before the end of the inaugural meeting, the Chaoshan Alumni Association presented souvenirs of the inaugural meeting to the units that came for congratulation, and the relevant units also returned the souvenirs of establishment.
The Chaoshan Alumni Association is the sixth local alumni association of Business School established after Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Foshan and Yunnan.
