On September 23, more than 30 alumni of Foreign Economics and Accounting major of our school enrolled in 1985 came from all over the country to attend the 30th anniversary party at Shenheng Hall. Qi Xiaoping - secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Business School, professor Zhengguojian - associate dean, Professor Li Xuerou, professor Tan Jingsong, Yu Wangzhi - then head teacher were invited to the party.
During the party, a donation ceremony was held for the emergency aid for the faculty members of the Shansi Education Fund of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University. This is a donation initiated by the alumni of Foreign Economics and Accounting major enrolled in 1985 for the 30th anniversary party, to raise funds to support the Shansi Education Fund of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University, which is specially used to assist the registered retired faculty members who have difficulties in family life due to illness or accidental injury. The noble spirit deserves admiration.
Secretary Qi Xiaoping extended a warm welcome to the alumni returning to school, and briefed the alumni on the development, changes and achievements of the school and university in recent years. He thanked the alumni for their long-term concern and support for the school, and thanked the alumni of Foreign Economics and Accountings major enrolled in 1985 for the donation of the faculty emergency aid. He also said that the school would set up the aid management team to ensure the standard management and fair use of the fund.
Zheng Guojian - associate dean introduced the development of accounting major in our school, and expressed gratitude to the alumni for their long-term concern and support. He said that it is because of the outstanding alumni just like the ones of Foreign Economics and Accountings major enrolled in 1985, who have made outstanding contributions in their fields and continuously support the university and school, the accounting majors of our school could develop better and better.
Professor Li Xuerou, professor Tan Jingsong and teacher Yu Wangzhi respectively had kind words to the alumni, reminiscing about the old things from the school days, sharing the future prospects., wishing the alumni successful career, happy life and family, and come back Alma mater often.
The alumni and teachers talked about the teacher-student friendship. The alumni affectionately said that, after back to their Alma mater, the time seemed to travel back for 30 years in an instant, and revisiting the once family places, the old buildings and profound cultural heritage of the university became the spiritual sustenance; Looking back on the best part of the youthful time in university, they deeply felt the great kindness of the teachers, and their growth inseparable from the cultivation of teachers. Taking the opportunity, they wished the teachers happy and healthy and the Alma mater brighter future.
Get together after 30 years, so much more to say about the youthful past and classmates’ friendship and endless memories of the Alma mater. The time could take away the prime of youth but could not take away the classmates friendship. The Alma mater is always our spiritual homeland, welcome alumni to come back often.
