Our School Has Won the Advanced Unit Awards for Alumni Work and Fund Work for Four Consecutive Years

On the afternoon of January 13, 2017, "We walked through together" -- the 2016 Alumni Work and Fund Work Sharing Meeting was held in the Huai Shi hall of south campus. More than 150 people attended the Meeting, including Professor Li Ping - deputy secretary of the CPC Party Committee of the university, executive vice president of the Alumni Association and vice chairman of the Education Development Foundation, alumni work volunteers, responsible persons of all departments and affiliated hospitals on alumni work and fund work, alumni representatives, and student representatives. The Meeting was presided over by Li Hanrong - director of the Education Development and Alumni Affairs Office, secretary general of the Alumni Association and secretary general of the Education Development Foundation.
The alumni work and fund work summary meeting this year had a different style from previous annual meetings. With the theme of "we walked through together", the meeting specially invited the departments and alumni representatives who have actively participated in various alumni and fund work of the university in the past year, to share the alumni and fund work of the university in 2016, and the prospects in 2017. Alumni Yu Zanwen enrolled in 1986, alumni Li Hantao enrolled in 1992, alumni Li Jianrui enrolled in 2009 and other alumni representatives of our school shared their views on career mentor project of our school, volleyball club of the university and Li Xuerou fund project.
The meeting also commended the units and individuals with outstanding performance in the alumni work and fund work of Sun Yat-sen University in 2016. Our school has won the advanced unit awards for alumni work and fund work for four consecutive years, which is not only a full affirmation of the alumni work and fund work of our school in 2016, but also a high recognition of the alumni's giving back to the Alma mater and great support for the development of the university and school. Dai Honghui - deputy secretary of our school and alumni Lai Junshan also won the individual outstanding contribution award of alumni work and fund work, and Li Ping - deputy secretary presented awards to the award-winning units and individuals.
Li Ping - deputy secretary summed up the speech. She pointed out that 2016 is the first year for China to implement the "Thirteenth Five-Year" Plan and the decisive stage of building a well-off society in all respects. The great achievements of the various undertakings of the university this year are hard-won. The alumni work and fund work of our university have been advancing with the times, exploring and innovating, and have reached a new level. On behalf of the university, she thanked all units and alumni for their efforts. She believes that alumni and Alma mater are a community of life, and alumni are the important symbol of the university's reputation, important carrier of the university's culture, and important embodiment of the university's comprehensive strength. We look forward to continuing our efforts to "gather the strength and wisdom of the alumni, and raise funds for development", so as to provide more support for the comprehensive reform and development of various undertakings of the university.
