Our School Won the Title of "2014 Advanced Unit of Alumni Work and Fund Work of Sun Yat-sen University"

On the afternoon of January 20, the 2014 Annual Meeting of Alumni Work and Fund Work of our university was held in the south campus. More than 100 people attended the meeting, including professor Chen Chunsheng - executive deputy secretary of the CPC Party Committee, vice president of university, and vice president of the Alumni Association, professor Li Ping - deputy secretary of the CPC Party Committee of university, executive vice president of the Alumni Association, and vice chairman of the Education Development Foundation, Zhang Zhanxia - honorary president of the Alumni Association, Xia Shuzhang, Li Xuerou, Huang Tianqi, Mao Yunshi, Ji Liangnian, Shi Zupei, Liang Biqi, Feng Dawen, Wang Zeke, Liang Qingyin, Xu Yuantong, Dai Yue, Li Qiaolan, Dong Ling - alumni work volunteers, responsible persons of the affiliated hospitals for alumni work, and the representatives of relevant departments. The meeting was presided over by Li Ping - deputy secretary of university. Dai Honghui - deputy secretary of the CPC Party Committee of our school attended the meeting and reported on work as one of the representatives of the four schools and departments.

The meeting summarized the alumni work and fund work of our university in the past year, especially the remarkable achievements of alumni work and fund work in the 90th anniversary.
The meeting commended the 2014 advanced units and individuals of alumni work and fund work of Sun Yat-sen University. Our school won the titles of "2014 Advanced Unit of Alumni Work " and "2014 Advanced Unit of Fund Work". Wen Lihua of the Career Development and Alumni Work Office was awarded the 2014 Individual Outstanding Contribution Award of Alumni Work and Fund Work. There were three schools in the university that received the above three honors at the same time.

The award is not only a full affirmation of the alumni work and fund work of our school in 2014, but also a high recognition of the alumni's giving back to the Alma mater and great support for the development of the university and school. The alumni concern a lot of their Alma mater, pass on experience to the younger students in school, offer advice and suggestions for the school's development, donate funds to reward the younger students and outstanding talents. What the award shows is the great power of the support of the alumni for the school's development!
