On March 14th, the Alumni Donation Ceremony for the 30th Anniversary Celebration Series of our school was held in M202 of Shan Si Hall, south campus. Li Shanmin - vice president of Sun Yat-sen University and executive vice president of Education Development Foundation, Li Zhongfei - executive dean of our school, alumni Li Zuyu, Geng Wenxian, Xu Hui, Zhang Jun, Yu Meng, Guo Haiming, etc and many other students attended the event.
Li Shanmin - vice president of our university, talked about the general situation of national universities' donations and our university's donations in his speech. He thanked the alumni for their enthusiastic support for the development of the university and school, and said that our university and school will manage well and make good use of every donation of our alumni and do a good job in serving our alumni.
Initiated and funded by the alumni of our school, the audit major scholarship, the good • dream scholarship, the scholarship and financial aid by students enrolled in 1983 were established on the platform of Shansi Education Foundation. And two alumni donated to the Li Xuerou Foundation of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University in their own names. At the ceremony, the alumni shared the original intention of donation. The affection was very deep and touching.
The alumni of auditing major enrolled in 1985 initiated the scholarship for auditing major of Shansi Education Foundation, and donated RMB 20,000 yuan to the school in the first phase, to reward the full-time first-year students of master's degree in auditing.
Alumni Yu Meng - graduate of accounting enrolled in 2000 and master of finance enrolled in 2004 of our school, donated funds to set up the Shansi Education Foundation - good • dream scholarship, to subsidize two undergraduates from poor families in the form of 10,000 yuan per year to participate in exchange study abroad. The donation has been 30 consecutive years and the donation totaled 300,000 yuan. Alumni Yu Meng said that in the past ten years after graduation, she often recalled her six-year study life. However, donating funds to set up the scholarship is not only to give back to her Alma mater and her teachers, but also as a former student of Business School who hopes to integrate into the big family of Business School in this way and become a permanent member of the Business School. She also said that, in the junior year of university, she gave up the opportunity to study in Hong Kong due to family reasons. This regret made her hope that more outstanding students would have the opportunity to exchange overseas through her modest efforts. Alumni Yu Meng also hoped that her child, who's about to turn one year old, can apply for the scholarship set up by his mother after 18 years. Stay true to the initial intention, and you will get to the bright end.
The business administration class enrolled in 1983 of our school donated funds to set up the Shansi Education Foundation - the scholarship and financial aid by students enrolled in 1983. The alumni donated RMB 10,000 to the school to support the outstanding undergraduates of the school each year. The donation has been 10 consecutive years and the donation totaled 100,000 yuan. Alumni Li Zuyu - class representative said that as the first class of alumni of business administration department, there's a deep affection every time he returned to the Alma mater. Out of gratitude, to make each student more closely connected with the university and school, and at the same time, to pass on the kindness class by class, their class chose this kind of crowd funding that everyone can participate in to set up the scholarship. Alumni Li Zuyu also wished the school would be better and better and become a world-class business school.
The Li Xuerou Foundation was set up by the alumni of Business School when they returned to school in 2009 to attend the 20th anniversary of graduation. The Li Xuerou Foundation is used to reward the undergraduate students of the university who are excellent both in character and scholarship. The award-winning students all showed excellent quality of service, care and giving back, among many social public welfare activities. On the eve of the anniversary celebration, an alumnus of the Business School donated 1 million yuan to the Li Xuerou Foundation anonymously, and alumnus Zhang Jun from auditing class enrolled in 1990 donated 6,688 yuan to the Li Xuerou Foundation of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University. Alumnus Zhang Jun thanked the school for cultivating her in the best time of her life, and her gratitude to the school grew stronger as the time passed. She felt very precious to be able to donate to the Li Xuerou Foundation on the 30th anniversary of the school. She said that she will continue to donate next year, and promote and publicize the school's development, so that more alumni can join the wave of giving back to their Alma mater and school. She also wished that the school would become a world-class business school and that the Li Xueru Foundation would continue to grow and develop, and more alumni would join the team.

It takes three generations to make a gentleman. The alumni's donation to the school's education cause may take many years to fulfill the aspirations of the alumni, but the alumni still made this kind of actions. He believes this is alumni's long-term expectation and support for the school and their love for the education cause. The selfless acts of the alumni are very touching, and have encouraged the teachers to better educate the students, and show our gratitude with practical actions. Not only the Business School will always remember the alumni, but also all the teachers and students, especially the students, will be inspired by the alumni, and they will also know how to be grateful, because the actions of alumni are their role models. The Business School will always be the spiritual home of all alumni. All alumni are welcome to return to school to share their achievements, and the children or relatives of the alumni are also welcome to study at the Business School. He believes that the Business School can become the strong backing and spiritual home for the alumni.
