2016 Business School Alumni New Year Exchange Ends Successfully

On January 14, 2017, our school successfully held the 2016 Alumni New Year Exchange in Dongguan Zhuang, Tianhe District. Qi Xiaoping - secretary of the CPC Party Committee, Dai Honghui - deputy secretary of the CPC Party Committee, Ke Jianjie - deputy director of School Affairs Office, and Ms. Liang Wenwen of our school were invited to attend the activity. This special alumni New Year exchange activity was co-hosted by MBA WeCircle, which not only selected the off-campus activity site, but also added lots of communication and interaction, attracting over 80 alumni.

Secretary Qi Xiaoping gave an opening speech when the activity began. He first reported to everyone the achievements of the school in the past year, thanked the alumni of school and friends from all walks of life for their support, and summarized the Business School in 2016 with three words "morality as the first, learning as the top, and quality as the core". Then, secretary Qi reviewed the development history of Business School and the achievements of the school in 2016, and put forward his earnest hope to Business School in 2017, hoping that the Business School gains a place in the world business schools, by focusing on the goal of building a "renowned international business school". Finally, secretary Qi sent the New Year greetings to the alumni, wishing everyone good health and good luck.

During the activity, Mr. Huang Shuo - a senior media professional and macroeconomic research expert, shared the theme of "Trump's Influence on China's Economy". Mr. Huang cited the classics and had lots of witty remarks, through the wonderful analysis of the situation of Russia, UK, European Union, Japan, China and USA, reviewed the boring and complicated international situation, and finally summarized the world economic situation and predicted the trend of the RMB exchange rate. The audience benefited a lot from the speech.

The time together has always gone too soon, but as long as the alumni care for the school and gather their spirit and strength, the Business School will do better and better. I sincerely wish the alumni of our school "get more prosperous year by year", and look forward to the future that the alumni will be able to show the spirit of Business School, Sun Yat-sen University on more and bigger stages!
