On November 12th, 2022, Sun Yat-sen University held the establishment ceremony of the Academic Division of Economics and Management and the appointment ceremony of cadres in the south campus of Guangzhou campus.

This is the first academic division established by the university, marking the official launch of the academic division system reform of Sun Yat-sen University. This will help the university to give full play to the advantages of running school, improve the quality of running a school, and promote Sun Yat-sen University to accelerate the realization of high-quality connotative development.

The first Academic Division of Economics and Management consists of five schools: Lingnan College, School of Business, School of Tourism Management, International School of Business & Finance and International Business School. The disciplines cover four first-level disciplines: Theoretical Economics, Applied Economics, Business Administration, Management Science and Engineering.
