On January 9th, 2023, the 44th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 11th People's Congress of the Tibet Autonomous Region approved the appointment and removal list of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Tibet Autonomous Region, and decided to appoint Wei Xiuchang as Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region.

Wei Xiuchang, male, Han nationality, born in December 1973, a member of the Communist Party of China, and doctoral student of Business Administration in the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University.
