2011 Journal of Marketing Science PHD Forum Held at SYSBS

"2011 Journal of Marketing Science PHD Forum" was organized by SYSBS between Aug.19-22 and was proven to be a great success."

The leaders and guests attending this forum are: Deputy Director of SYSU Graduate School Development Office, Wang Huaqiao, Associate Dean of SYSBS, Fu Zhengping, the Chief Editor of JMS and Professor of Peking University, Fu Guoqun, Professor of University of Missouri, Zou Shaoming, Professor of UIUC, Zhao Zhiyu, Professor of University of Texas at Austin, Zhang Ying, Professor of City University of Hong Kong, Zhou Nan. Altogether a dozen of scholars in the field of marketing and more than 160 PHDs both at home and abroad participated in this forum. More than 70 papers were received, which hit a record high. Professor of Marketing of SYSBS, Yu Hongyan, presided over the opening ceremony. On behalf of SYSBS, Associate Dean Fu Zhengping delivered the welcome speech; Deputy Director of SYSU Graduate School Development Office, Wang Huaqiao, gave a speech; Professor of Peking University Institute of Guanghua School of Management, Fu Guoqun made a speech on behalf of JMS Editorial Committee; the superintendent of this PHD Forum, the Dean of Marketing Department, Professor Wang Haizhong delivered a speech and made a brief introduction about this forum.

Beside the best finalists' speech, we also have speeches given by former first prize winners; teacher-student relationship and PHD team building; PHD to Tutor—middle-age and young tutors academic career experience sharing; senior professor academic career experience sharing and some other interactions. The first two links are new ones and the PHDs pay great attention to them. They contribute to perfecting the JMS PHD Forum.
