Summary
Xiaoping Liu is currently a Professor at the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from Zhejiang University and has served as a visiting scholar at both the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, and the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. Professor Liu is dedicated to research and teaching in the field of organizational behavior and human resource management. He integrates psychological theories with management practices and incorporates perspectives from economics and technology to conduct interdisciplinary research.
Professor Liu’s research interests span across various areas, including organizational commitment, talent assessment, and employee development. In these fields, he has led multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published numerous high-impact academic papers, and received several provincial awards for outstanding research achievements. His representative works include “Human Resource Assessment Theories and Methods”, “Research on Employee Organizational Commitment in the Chinese Context”, “Research on Employability of University Graduates” and “Employee Recruitment Management.”
In terms of teaching, Professor Liu offers courses such as Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Management Consulting to both undergraduate and graduate students. He emphasizes integrating the latest research findings and practical case studies into his teaching, fostering students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. He helps organizations build data-driven scientific decision-making systems in talent development and management.
