Why are apps often free to use? Who are competing with whom among millions of apps? What is the benefit and cost of a merger of apps?  In this lecture, Professor Han Yuan (袁晗) will provide his answer to these questions. This lecture is based on his working paper “Competing for Time: A Study of Mobile Applications ”.

为什么App通常是免费的？百万应用中谁在和谁竞争？App并购的成本与收益该如何计算？袁晗博士将讨论这些问题并提供他对这些问题的答案。这一讲座基于他的工作论文“Competing for Time: A Study of Mobile Applications ”。

嘉宾简介：

ok138cn太阳集团助理教授。袁晗博士2014年于浙江大学获得经济学学士学位，2016年于香港中文大学获得经济学硕士学位，2021年毕业于亚利桑那大学获得经济学博士学位。袁晗博士的研究跨市场营销和产业经济学两个领域。他的最新研究关注数字经济领域的竞争和企业决策，包括APP的竞争关系和定价策略，以及平台治理。袁晗博士的研究也涉及数字经济领域的反垄断问题。他研究中国报纸的论文于2016年发表在China Economic Review。
